Headstone Transcriptions

WELCOME to Lorraine's Headstones Pages

I have made every effort to be as accurate as possible. If you find any errors, please CLICK HERE.

None of this would have been possible without the help of my wonderfully patient, beloved late husband whom I dragged from his bed at ungodly hours to "Get some headstones done before the heat".
He put in as much time as I did and he has my undying gratitude and eternal love.

So many people have made contributions to these pages with photos, with special mention to Marylin and Steve Jones who have photographed many thousands of Australian graves and sent them to me for transcribing.

The information is listed primarily as an aid to family historians, so there is much information on headstones that is not listed here.  Many dedications on headstones are from friends, work colleagues and communities.

I am unable to carry out personal research and, with the exception of a few residents from towns close to my home in WA, have no information on any individuals listed on my site.

I do not wish to offend anyone by listing this information on the website, as the work is done with the best intentions of providing vital information to family historians. The bulk of the information shown here is on public display at the respective cemeteries, and information from Burial Registers, where available, is included.
Several people contribute information to the site with the best intentions. If any copyright material is listed, it will be removed when advised.

If you would like to provide information on family or leave a query on the Oz Burials Message Board, please click on the link below.

We do not charge for the photos that are made available.
