He was a prime mover in getting the Baptist Church and the Collie-Narrogin Railway built, in getting the sanctified areas of the cemetery opened to the deceased of all creeds (not just Anglicans) and in promoting public welfare and positive community life.
"] Text[4]=["George Geoffrey (G.G.) LAVATER","In Narrogin from 1903. He was a leading architect, whose designs included the Town Hall and the War Memorial. He was a foundation Town Councillor and secretary of the Narrogin Road Board (1915-1935), and very active with many sporting and other organisations.
"] Text[5]=["Margaret LYNCH","A very old resident of Nomans Lake, in the person of the late Mrs M Lynch, aged 86 years, the mother of Mr J Lynch, passed away peacefully at the local hospital on the morning of the 21st inst. The deceased lady was a long sufferer of rheumatics and her demise must have been a happy release. The funeral took place on Sunday last and was conducted by Mr F W Wald.
The interment took place in the RC portion of the Narrogin cemetery and Rev Father O’Brien officiated.

Margaret Ann Lynch maiden name Maguire was baptised at Blackstep County Cavan Ireland on 27th Aug 1940,
the daughter of Patt Maguire and Ann Fay. She married Patrick Lynch at Seefin County Cavan on the 27th November 1861.
Patrick was the son of Edward Lynch and Mary Cusack and was baptised 17th May 1835 at Seefin.
Margaret and Patrick emigrated to Australia in 1862 but no shipping found and spent all their married lives in Daylesford Vic.
Patrick died from injuries received in a dray accident in 1886. Margaret Snr moved to West Aust about 1901. She died 1926 and is buried at Narrogin.
Margaret and Patrick Lynch had three children:
1. Their first child Edward Lynch was born in Oct 1862, birth registered at Clarendon Victoria.
Edward Lynch lived all his life in Victoria married Matilda Hodgkinson and died from a train accident in 1917.
Edward and Matilda had a family of 11.
2. Their 2nd child John Lynch was born at Daylesford Victoria 1864, John left Daylesford about 1898 for WA. He married Clara Saunders formally Williams at Mt Margaret in 1906 she was a widow with 2 daughters Lillian and Violet. John and Clara had 2 sons John and Edward.
John Jnr died aged 22 and is buried at Narrogin. John Snr and Clara Lynch moved to Noman’s Lake about 1910 and left for Marvel Loch about 1936.
3. Margaret Ann Lynch was born Daylesford 1878, 14years after he 2 brothers.
She came to WA maybe with her brother John or her mother Margaret, but was married in Sydney NSW in 1927 to John McPherson. She died in Victoria in 1941. No family.
