John HERRING was born England 1780, arrived on the ship Warrior about 1830 one of the first pioneers to Augusta, Busselton. Had a beachside cottage in Busselton and used the front of same for his post office. The old cottage has since been demolished and a car yard now stands there (2009).
Johns old red post box of Victorian age still stands outside where the car yard now stands.

George and Kitty had 3 children - Hannah, Maude and my grandfather, Henry John FROOME. Kitty’s father’s name was John HOOPER."]
