News was received in Albany over the weekend of the shocking death of a member of a well known Albany family and the mother of seven children in Mrs J. WILLIAMS, who left here about nine months ago to reside at Beacon, about 50 miles from Kununoppin, where her husband had been transferred. It appears that Mrs WILLIAMS was lighting a fire underneath a copper in the wash house at her residence, when her clothes caught alight. She later died from the injuries sustained.
Formerly Miss Nina MEYERS, the deceased was born in Albany and was 41 years of age. Of her family of seven children, four are under 14 years of age.

The funeral of the late Mrs J. WILLIAMS, who passed away at Beacon on Friday, February 4, as the result of burns sustained in an accident, took place in Albany on Tuesday 8. A service was conducted in St Joseph’s Church by the Rev., father Costello before the cortege proceeded to the Roman Catholic portion of the Albany Cemetery where , father Costello also held a service at the grave side.
Chief mourners were the deceased’s . Husband , sons Gerald and John and Mrs A MEYERS (Aunt), Mrs J Baesjou, Mrs R Friessbourg, Messrs Brian Meyers, J Baesjou, L and N Lambert (cousins).
