","He was born in 1835, the son of Stephen Annetts and Hannah SLOPER, in Collingbourne Ducis, England and migrated to Australia as an unassisted passenger on the Herefordshire in 1857, along with brothers William and Thomas and their families. Richard settled on the South Coast around Mogo/Broulee and his brothers settled in Adelong, NSW working as Gold miners.
Richard s wife Naomi (nee ISON) was also born in 1839 in England, daughter of Henry ISON and Elizabeth FREYER. Naomi s occupation was a Drape maker and she migrated to Australia about 1854.
They were married 3rd May 1858 in Gundary, Moruya. They had 12 children.
Richard and Naomi have many descendants still around the Shoalhaven district and Richard has been recognised as a pioneer in some text I have found
